ADHD and Toxic Productivity

I stumbled upon this great video by someone diagnosed with Adult ADHD, talking about productivity, and how it works with an ADHD Brain.

Specifically, he is talking about the idea that forcing yourself to “get things done” the way neurotypical people do, and I had been forcing myself to do for most of my life. It does not work for people with ADHD. When it fails we then just feel useless and a sense of failure to do fundamental things that typically should be “easy”. Its helping to see my struggles from a different perspective, and is very particular to Adult ADHD, and the many bad habits we have developed to cope and compete.

Best of all, he explains the ways we ARE motivated, and breaks it down very well.
